Flea Market finds
I was able to attend the Nashville flea market 2 weekends ago.
It was a beautiful day in the low 70's which made it a
great day for me. I found several wonderful old items,
including a few crystals, earrings, watch shapes and
my favorite....buttons.
I really like these two beauties and
I couldn't resist this little cutie! I plan to keep this
button card intact and it may find a permanent home on my
inspiration board.
My daily temptation....Dr. Pepper. I really love
these old bottle caps and had to have them.
I have been very busy lately and this guy keeps
me at the football field. He plays cornerback and
his team is off to a great start at 3-0.
And this holiday weekend, I plan to be busy as
"nursemaid/mother hen" with my daughter. She had
out-patient surgery today to repair a small hernia.
This photo says it all: She requested her favorite
pillow case that is flannel and has her beloved penguins
on it. She requested her "Puffy" bear to rest with and a
blanket that we borrowed from brother. Even a 17 yr old
needs her mom every now and again!
Happy Labor day weekend! Kana

What a great haul! I love the little darling buttons! You have such beautiful kids. I think every one needs mom now and then, but mine is gone unfortunately ...:-( Hope your daughter is doing well again. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave always enjoyed trips to the Nashville flea market. My parents used to have a booth with their depression glass every month during the mid 1980's to the mid 1990's. I always loved going down to "help". Really just spent the time exploring!
ReplyDeleteWow Kana, you have been busy! Sorry to hear about your daughter, I'm sure she's getting first class treatment! ;) And as for your son, congrats on the winning record!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your loot that you found at the flea market...too cool. That button card is full of darling little buttons indeed! Lucky you!
everything vintage
What pretty, pretty finds!!! I found some good things at our local flea market.
ReplyDeleteI've missed your last several posts so I must catch up. You are so busy getting ready for Silver Bella and I am working like mad on things for 2 craft fairs this fall. Your "finds" are wonderful! I love the watch frames and of course the buttons! I like button cards intact, too. You can scan it and use the images over and over and still hang that little beauty on your inspiration board! Hope your daughter recovers quickly. There is nothing like a mother's loving care! WooHoo for your son! Take care!
ReplyDeleteOops-forgot to say how much I love your new header. That Kris Hurst is a genious!
